Membership Committee - The Membership committee serves to recruit, retain and reward financial members of the J.R.E. Lee Chapter. This committee is responsible for developing and planning social activities to increase camaraderie amongst Jacksonville Rattlers. Events include the following:

• Networking Socials - monthly
• Come Together Day (family and friends outing) - once per calendar year
• Rattler Grub Club - monthly lunch outing at multiple locations throughout the city (lunch cells)
• Rattler Football sports outing (home coming)
• Rattler Football sports outing (Atlanta game)
• Rattler Football sports outing (Orlando Classic)
• Professional sport outing (Jaguar Football Game) - one per calendar year
• Faith Fellowship Day - 3 per year

Recruitment Committee - The Recruitment Committee serves to recruit the best and the brightest students to FAMU from Jacksonville and surrounding areas. The Recruitment committee oversees the scholarship process from application distribution to recipient selection and award. The Recruitment Committee is also responsible for planning and hosting the following events:

• The "Rattler Reception" - an event where freshman matriculating to FAMU in the fall are acknowledged and formally congratulated.
• The "Journey to the Hill"- Annual FAMU campus visit and tour for high school juniors and seniors.
• Participate in City College Recruitment Fair -  one per year at a minimum

Fundraising Committee -  The Fundraising Committee's purpose is to raise funds for the J.R.E. Lee Chapters' scholarship donations (endowment fund), operating activities and university support. The Fundraising Committee oversees the logistics of online store orders and merchandise. This committee solicits financial support from corporations through donations and event sponsorship. The cornerstone of the fundraising committees efforts are accomplished through its signature events, online store and website banner ad sales:

• "Strike Fest Bowling Tournament" - Citywide bowling tournament with corporate sponsors, cash prizes and raffles.
• Online Store
• Sale website banner advertisements
• NAA Church Day

Public Relations Committee - The PR Committee is responsible for carrying the JRE Lee Chapters influence into the Jacksonville community. The PR committee promotes a positive image of FAMU and factual university information to the Jacksonville public. The PR committees intent is to ensure the motto, "Excellence with caring" reaches through multiple generations of Jacksonville residents. Major tasks executed by the PR committee include:

• Maintain the J.R.E. Lee Chapter Website
• Draft and distribute the Chapter newsletter
• Publish positive FAMU related news
• Publish member accomplishment and highlights
• Help market chapter events
• Bereavement, sick and shut in corresponding support
• Report on sporting events

The Setters - The Setters is a special committee formed to focus on efforts that would have a tangible impact to specific colleges at the University. Setters are political activists working to influence change at all levels. Setters are currently focused on issue resolution and strategic support at the following colleges:

• College of Engineering
• College of Pharmacy
