The JRE Lee Alumni Chapter recently showed its support and love for the marching 100 through a $1,600 donation. FAMU's world renowed marching 100 band was recently invited to play in the historical Inagural Perade in Washington D.C. Due to significant budget cuts by the State of Florida FAMU's ability to support the Band has suffered. According to the Tallahassee Democrat the Marching 100 needs to raise over $100,000 to make the trip to play in the Inagural Perade.
Jacksonville's faithful alumni showed there support by raising a generous donation of $1,600 to help the Marching 100 achieve their goal and attend a historical event in support of our nations first African American President, President-Elect Barack Oboma.
